I’ve been blogging for almost two decades and I LOVE it! When people ask my why I chose blogging as a big part of my work-from-home career, I ask, “Why wouldn’t I? Why wouldn’t you?”
Blogging is a creative outlet, giving you a way to explore your interests.
You can use a blog to share a goal or mission, like a weight loss journey, and gain friends and support along the way.
A blog can make your pet a superstar! 🙂 Go Fido!
But perhaps the most relevant reason people choose to blog is because you can earn money blogging and work from home. In your pajamas and fuzzy house slippers. With messy hair and no makeup. Glamorous, right?
When you work for yourself, you’re not subjected to a demanding work schedule set by a corporation. You aren’t forced to deal with frustrating people and circumstances at the office that are beyond your control. You don’t have to wake up in the morning dreading your life and spend the majority of your day doing something you hate. Then there’s the freedom to pursue what you want, when you want!
When your friends and family need you, you can be there for them. You can work from Starbucks, Panera, or the beach! You can take more than 10 vacation days a year if you want.
Low Start-up Costs
Another reason people choose blogging as a work-from-home income source is that blogging is a business you can start for under $100.00. How affordable is that? There aren’t many small businesses that you can start for that amount of cash. Give up your daily Starbucks habit for a month and you have your seed money.

Is blogging easy money? Yes and no. You have to put in a fair amount of work as you’re laying the foundation: creating the blog, writing articles, setting up funnels, and generating traffic. You can start earning almost immediately if you know the right methods to generate income. The good news is, there are dozens of ways to turn your blog into an income-earning business!
Bringing in a part-time or full-time income can take a few months or a year or more. The timeline varies from one blogger to the next depending how much time they put in up front and how well they lay their foundational systems.
The amazing thing is, once those systems are in place, you make income passively. That means that if you take a week off, the systems you’ve developed will continue to generate traffic, bring people to the work you’ve constructed, grow your email list, and sell your products or promote your affiliate programs without any input from you. I work on my blog no more than two hours a day, and I can earn an income that compares to full-time wages at an office or corporation. Not too shabby, right?
Do you dream of working from home?
Have you ever thought about starting a blog? If so, what’s stopping you? Let me ask you this:
- Do you have a desire to share your knowledge and interests with the world?
- Do you have 30 minutes to an hour a day or a few hours on the weekend you can devote to your blog?
- Are you willing to learn some new technical skills and tackle new software?
Then you have what it takes to become a blogger!
If you want to know more, I’ve put together a series of emails that answer all those questions you have, like:
- What does it cost to get started?

Don’t let tech fear stop you!
For some people, the technical aspect of blogging is intimidating. I totally get it! I was there once upon a time, wading into the waters of uncertainty, trying to navigate the technicalities of hosting, servers, domains, and software installations. Yikes! I can tell you that over the last two decades, the technical aspects have gotten much easier!!!
You no longer have to know how to code to have a website. You can utilize a program like WordPress to set up a basic structure for a site, and after that, creating your website pages and blog entries is as easy as filling out a form.
I’ve helped a number of people set up blogs and get their businesses started and they’re always amazed when they realize how easy it is!
If you’ve been holding back because you’re afraid you won’t understand the technicalities of setting up a blog, don’t let that excuse stop you any longer. I will help you … for FREE! I recently recorded screen-share videos of me setting up a blog. You can look over my shoulder each step of the way and watch what I do, listen to my explanations of what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. And then you can take the same steps and finally get your blog set up!
Why choose this course?
What makes my “start a blog” course different than those offered on other sites? Well, most of the “start a blog” tutorials that are offered online will give you a series of emails “telling” you what to do. Or you’ll get a download with a list of instructions to follow. But written instructions are difficult to follow when you aren’t familiar with any of the technicalities.
They will say, “Direct your domain’s nameservers to your new hosting platform.” If you’ve never done this before, you will be like “What’s a nameserver, and where do I find it? How do I give it directions to my platform? And what is a platform?” (This is where a tech-newbie’s brain begins to melt down. LOL)
That’s why video instructions are best for this type of tutorial. It’s easy when you can watch someone do it while they explain the process to you. Then you know what to look for and what options to choose.
Other “start a blog” tutorials don’t explain the various options in your hosting package available to you to offer you more privacy, security, and functionality. I’ll explain your options and help you understand what’s best for you and your site.
Other “start a blog” tutorials don’t warn you that if you fail to implement a couple of minimum security precautions, you’ll be vulnerable to hackers. I show you how to protect yourself!
If you’d like a guided tour, I’d love to give you one and help you get your blog rolling. Just click below to sign up for my “How to start a blog” video tutorials, and I’ll get you started and blogging in no time! Less than an hour if you’re ready to roll!!!
